As you can see, this one is inspired by Rambone, thanks Jörg. :)
For a slingshot newbie like me,
sometimes (a few times for hundreds of shot) I hit my moorhammer fork-base.
That's why right now I have a new slingshot with longer fork.

The material I used were the same as my first moorhammer.
Two layers black canvas Micarta to be the core, the thickness is about 0.95cm for one layer. The red one between canvas micarta is vulcanized fiber.
The top and down layer are Dymondwood which is laminated cocobolo,
thickness is about 0.64cm for one layer.
The overall weight (rubber band included) is 141 grams.

This is also my first time to cut Thera-band gold and built my own flatband.
I read "how to do it" and used the calculator at Jörg web site before I put my hands on the rubber.
But the leather pouch which I reused from broken bands (I bought it from local market) was too heavy, so I had "finger hit" after shot.
I could not find a new leather immediately, so I cut a pair of Thera-band with longer length, it reduced the shotting power but good for my fingers.
I'll buy some leather too though.

Here have some pictures I took this morning, after about 100 shots,
I could not say I don't like this new one. :D

Joechen, you're pissing me off. I WANT IT! Forward all further builds of yours to me. Failure to do so will result in a cataclysmic earthquake that will cause all of the United States that is east of California to slide into the Atlantic ocean.

Great job! A micarta core with laminated cocobolo exterior layers is a real high-end product for a second effort.

    WildBill,
    You are the man. LOL

I didn't finish the slingshot to "display level" because I will use it,
you guys are so generous toward my creation. Thanks a lot.

I'm searching some material from local market, maybe I can finish another one a few weeks later,
right now I really enjoy shot this slingshot, and the moorhammer too.

Honestly, your level of work is unreal! Excellent slingshots, and if this is 'not finished to display level' then all I can say is wow!

Wow, just wow... I wish any one of my slingshots looked half that good, my second sling was kind of a total failure, and you make a micarta rambone with cocobolo accents... my first micarta looks like it may be a bust too (not enough hardener) and after seeing this it makes me want to crawl not the fetal position and lick my wounds

I don't know how I missed this thread yesterday, but wow, those are beautiful slingshots! I may just have to battle with Bill over that one ;) I'm just loving your denim micarta, and mixed with that cocobolo, it's just a really nice mix of materials and colors.

  15. that is really nice!
i want to start using some micarta or g10 soon so does anyone know where to get some in the uk?

    Looking good together.
Like i said in the other Thread, something inbetween the Micarta will create a nice touch.
    Well done.
