Hallo Friends,
Here is a slingshot I carved from Indian Teak Wood.
I named it Vayuputra design. Designed out of meditation process.
Completely hand crafted with no electric tools.
I did not use any grain fillers, just thought to keep it as natural as possible.
Its naturaly hand buffed, and then treated with linseed oil application.

Image of pouch and bands attached is at the end.

First image is the collage of the basic wooden block.

And, here it is finally.

Finally with bands attached.

I made a pouch from the Van Heusen waist belt. (elite material )
The bands are Garware PowerStretch bands, silver. Very reliable company of India.
Band dimention- 2 layers of - 27 x 1.7 x 2.7 cm.
May be not powerful enough. Should the bands be a bit longer?
I am going to try the Reebok Resistance Bands soon.
Good wishes.
Let me know what you all think about my art.

Very nice. I think you might need to add another layer and perhaps attempt full butterfly with it.

Its certainly got the strength for it.

Very cool design. This can definitely handle a heavy band set.

Oliver , first I used 1.9 x 3 x 27 cm. with three layers. It did not pull very far. No butterfly, it hardly stretched 2 inches away from my nose. so I removed one layer and thinned the bands into 1.7 x 2.7 x 27 cm. Still same draw.
27 cm was the total length including the fastening portion on both ends. May be I need to make it longer?

thank you for words Captain.
Captain, onnod, Oliver, Jorg, I tried three layers of silver band first. This is equivalent Garware powerstretch band. But I forgot that I dont have steel balls to try. so tried it with light stone and plastic pebble, that gave a turn shot which looked like Worm's fort game. .
I think I will try the Reebok Resistance.

Oliver, I tried the Theraband gold band calculator, with 120 cm draw length.. As I am using silver band, I modified the dimensions accordingly. Do I need to set the draw length more?

In the past I used a round 0.7mm black cable that was used in some kind of packaging. I mean like a tube with no hole in the center. It was powerful, never made a sound, but cracked due to weather sooner, and now out of market.

    hummm! Very cool!
Your bands attached looks an ideal form to stretch out and loose (I mean that inclination in the fork). Professional!
