My first slingshot

  1. It's not finished yet (still have to add the arm brace and some rubber of course) but will be later today. Though I will not be adding the arrow rest and bow sight for some time. (Why it's so tall compaired to Joerg's)

    Coming out nice

  5. Oh, and you should all know I am only using a cordless drill and a hacksaw to build this. No drill presses or anything, so sorry if it doesn't turn out the cleanest build.

Looks good so far. Be careful to your bear feet( in the pics)... you could loose a toe if you let that slingshot fall on it.

  7. Yeah it's deffinatly a toe destroyer if I drop it lol. Just wait until I get the sight, arrow rest, and bowfishing reel on it. It'll be so big that I can always use it as a club if I miss my shot lol.

sorry, but isn't this design originally meant for lowering the forktips to get less wrist strain without a brace?

Yes it is, I made the forks so high so I have a place to mount my bow sight to it and have room for my arrow rest as well. I will also be adding a wrist brace to it.

As I said, FORM< FUNCTION so cosmetics really aren't an issue. And you should probably refrain from telling people to do things, especially over an issue of personal taste. Just a thought.

  19. No worries MaddyMax I wasn't insulted or anything, sometimes you miss things. Happens to us all. (Especially me in the mornings lol)
