This is the first slingshot I made. I didn't like it much, forks were too high, cut at odd angle, horribly finished, poorly sanded. Now it's been sanded to 600 after raising the grain, I also added a Jatoba endcap that was a scrap left from Mrs. Dolo's slingy, reshaped the fork tips in Saderathian fashion. 3 coats of RLO and topped with Lord Sheraton balsam that the wonderful Scoobs sent me, silky as a 5 star beachfork;). Now it suits me well.

It's called Scar due to the crack it developed whilst drying. I filled the crack with verathane and sanded it back off.

The heartwood coming from the forks does make this one particularly pleasing. A great rework job!

Nicely done! The Saderath influence is quite apparent, but with your own spin. Good Lookin' Shooter!

Darn fine piece of work Dolo. I don't know if I saw the original? This finished version is just beautiful. You got Saderath's fork style down - a personal favorite of mine. The color and grain in the wood are very warm. The end cap is well executed as usual. It was definitely worth revisiting this one. That's a fine piece to add to your collection.

Just got done testing it more, it's light years ahead of it's former self. Tons more accurate, and way more natural to shoot.
