My first real knife!

    So, a time ago I posted a thread about the six knife blades i got, well here's the first one I've made. The handle is made out of curly birch and the blade is from mora. I coated it with 4 layers if linseed oil and attached the hidden tang with 2-part epoxy. So the blade could rust away the wood could rot to dirt but that epoxy will be there until the end if time. :D I hope you like it!     I am just wondering if you are saying the tang is simply epoxied into a drilled hole.

    That is to say there is no threaded nut on the pommel end, just epoxy.

    I think if that is the case, it should be fine.


    It would take something drastic like hammering on the pommel end to drive the knife into wood for you to break that epoxy loose I think.

    As for the knife itself, it's beautiful!
