This one is a Moorhammer style made with layers of White Oak, Poplar and Cherry that was cut at least 100 years ago (recycled wood flooring). The finish is polyurethane.

The second one is based on the Pocket Predator and is made with the same White Oak and Cherry, but this is from some thinner stock that has a much redder coloration. If you look close, you can see the tongue and groove lines along the sides of the Cherry. I could have eliminated them, but I like that it still refers to its old life as flooring material. I finished it with layer after layer of linseed oil and topped it off with carnauba wax for a semi-gloss look.

So, what do you think, folks?

Thank you very much! I've gone nuts over this stuff since I started watching Jeorg's videos. I don't usually use a lot of the cherry since I have a finite supply of it, but these little shooters use so little I could crank out hundreds of them. I recently acquired a bunch of other hardwoods to work with too. I posted something in the general forum about free hardwood, you should check it out.
