This is the first slingshot I have ever attempted to make. It is made from a natural dogwood fork. I intentionally made it small for a child, but it is actually fairly comfortable, and is fun to shoot with small steel balls. Any and all suggestions or criticisms would be highly valued. I still can't get my pictures to post for some reason, so I will just link to the album where the pictures are located instead.

https://picasaweb.google.com/101530575278474564578/Slingshots?authuser=0&feat=directlink

That is a nice natural. How did you finish it? It looks so smooth. Good job.

Thanks! There's actually no finish on it. Just a LOT of sanding and polishing. I stepped up to 1500 grit sandpaper and then used some 3M paper I had lying around from my old job. It barely feels like it has grit at all. All it says on the back is "emory polishing paper." I'm goimg to have to try and find some more of it. It will bring metal to a near mirror polish and it really shined up this wood.

This is cool, to upload images you must either have them on another image hosting site already, or use this forums embedded image hosting feature, to do either you can use the little buttons above the type in area. The little image of the green shrub or tree is what you want to host an outside image, click it and then paste the url of the image from the outside hosting site then hit ok. To obtain the image url right click on the image you want to post and select " copy image location " that is the info you paste in the image box.

To actually host one from you computer and upload it to this site use the box beside the image box with the disc and tree on it.

Any questions I would be glad to help trouble shoot...
