Hi, yesterday I made my first natural slingshot that is quite polished (still only sanded, but it's super silky in hand). So this is my first I'm not ashamed of <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_smile.gif" alt="Smile" longdesc="2"> It's from whitethorn, which is better a bush than a tree, but the wood looks good.<br><br><a href="http://www.servimg.com/image_preview.php?i=10&u=17729622" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://i32.servimg.com/u/f32/17/72/96/22/img_7510.jpg" border="0" alt=""></a><br><a href="http://www.servimg.com/image_preview.php?i=11&u=17729622" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://i32.servimg.com/u/f32/17/72/96/22/img_7511.jpg" border="0" alt=""></a><br><br>I'd like to wax it and see the difference after that. I'm quite curious. <br><br>Still everything good, but.. after several shots I found out that the ball goes to the right, which disappointed me a little, so I have to work more and find the cause. Maybe it's because of the band's length. I usually shoot with shorter ones, but ho knows.. <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_smile.gif" alt="Smile" longdesc="2">

Nice work! With that wood you could stain it any color you want. I like the white, looks like bone.

After beewaxing the color changed a little bit to yellow. <br><br><a href="http://www.servimg.com/image_preview.php?i=12&u=17729622" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://i32.servimg.com/u/f32/17/72/96/22/img_7512.jpg" border="0" alt=""></a><br><br><a href="http://www.servimg.com/image_preview.php?i=13&u=17729622" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://i32.servimg.com/u/f32/17/72/96/22/img_7513.jpg" border="0" alt=""></a><br><br>The sshot doesn't look bad, in fact it's my best natural <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_smile.gif" alt="Smile" longdesc="2"> but almost all the balls go to the right (almost consistently). I don't want to try to adapt my aiming, so I started thinking it would be a gift for somebody..

Little update. Oiled with linseed oil and polished a little bit.
