heres my interpretation of flicks curved PFS, i wanted to be more like the DKs picklefork, but i loved the curve. this one here is made of Wenge and Purpleheart, it fits very good in my hands, the idea with the curve is great. when the weather is better im gonna band it up, here its raining since a few days.

TP, it's a work of art, the wenge plays off the purpleheart beautifully. PH is such an asspain to work but i love what you get for the work put in. those particular pieces of wood were picked with an artistic vision, correct? anyway, stellar job!

thank you, btw i think wenge is worse to work with, cos is kinda like its made of layers, you got to be very carefull, otherwise the "layers" could eventually split. PH is just as hard as iron, but since i do alot with steel, im used to that.:)

thanks TP, i'll keep that in mind. Wenge is hard to come by where i live so i've never worked with it but it's been in the back of my mind for some time.

Very nice work sir! Beautiful blend of woods that are obviously very complimentary of each other. I have to ask as someone who hasn't tried this yet, what is your technique for getting those pieces of wood so nicely glued together with the sweeping angles between them? Is that simply a lot of shaping and sanding to make them fit before finally bonding them?

no, its a good chopsaw. i just saw them in shape, then i glue them together. would be pretty hard to get a straight 90 degree angle with sanding.

    Very nice!

    Very nice slingshot!

... but on that first pic you "turned up purple" a lil too much (or reduced blue/cyan).. ?
... niggling ?bout that colour channel, not at all about the shooter!.. :)
