Hi everyone, this is my 1st attempt at a a multiplex. It's a classic shape design for which I take no credit, similar to Gamekeeper Johns designs here in the UK.
I think the tab design is a little different though. I've tried to make it quick release to swap band sets. It's currently set up with Dankung looped tubes but I'm working on a flat bandset for target work.
What do you think?

The slingshot can be rigged for OTT shooting or TTF (my preference) just by rotating the tabs 90 degrees.

The multiplex I cut this from came from my local hobby shop, £4 for 12"x 6" x 1/2" piece. Don't know if that is expensive or not? I cut out 2 blanks and bonded them together to get a workable thickness for ergo shaping. The wood makes a nice change from the steel and engineering plastics I usually work with.

Chiron

Very nice, are engineering plastics strong enough for a slingshot? I think that would make a nice slingshot too

Thanks for the complements guys, its reassuring to know I'm doing something right.

Onnod, yes engineering plastics would work well for a slingshot. We use one called Delrin which is a bearing grade plastic. The problem with it is machine tools are needed to get a decent finish. Typically we get it CNC milled.

Acrylic works well though and you can get a glass finish with just hand tools and brasso metal polish.

    Thanks again guys.

I've been looking at and trying various attachment methods for weeks now. Although the classic wrap and tie method works well I was looking for something that was easy to do out in a field somewhere.

I have a Dankung Panther (Joergs design) which has an ingenious multi attachment method on the forks, and this was my inspiration.

Ultimately I'm after a system with one frame that can shoot several types of ammo including arrows, just by changing the band sets.

Nice worked cult shooter and the idea for the attachmend is very cool, easy and safe! Sometimes the easy things are the best ... , but maybe hard to find !

Nice work on the frame and a great Idea on the attachment. It solves a situation that I have had . I will use it if I may.
