Not long ago I decided to try out butterfly shooting. Its really fun, I love the fistgrip! So I outfitted my Ebony Moorhammer with som quite strong butterfly-bands. It appears the bands were too light for my 16 mm marbles, so I decided to test the 20-25mm marbels instead! Worked really nice for a couple of shots until I got a fork hit... And the frame broke! This was my nicest slingshot by far... So I had to make a new moorhammer!<br><br><img src="http://i30.servimg.com/u/f30/17/50/40/49/img_1810.jpg" border="0" alt=""><br><br>The multiplex moorhammer:<br><br><img src="http://i30.servimg.com/u/f30/17/50/40/49/img_1811.jpg" border="0" alt=""><br><br>The back (were you grip it)<br><br><img src="http://i30.servimg.com/u/f30/17/50/40/49/img_1812.jpg" border="0" alt=""><br><br>The shooters view<br><br><img src="http://i30.servimg.com/u/f30/17/50/40/49/img_1813.jpg" border="0" alt=""><br><br>As you can see its a bit slim, but very nice to hold. Its outfitted with Butterfly-bands of unknown brand.<br><br><img src="http://i30.servimg.com/u/f30/17/50/40/49/img_1814.jpg" border="0" alt=""><br><br>The ruined slingshot (Sigh...)<br><br><img src="http://i30.servimg.com/u/f30/17/50/40/49/img_1815.jpg" border="0" alt=""><br><br>And the enhanched Bullpup. I made new rollers, rasped it into shape and gave it a paintjob. I think it looks pretty nice now!<br><br><img src="http://i30.servimg.com/u/f30/17/50/40/49/img_1816.jpg" border="0" alt=""><br><br>Thats it, hope you liked it! By the way, the new Moorhammer is only half-finished. I have to add some polyruthene (?) or something.

Looks like the grain direction of the previous fork is what did you in. It's running perpendicular to the direction of the fork.

Try gluing the fork back together and then cut the whole thing in half and remove a 1/2" from the middle(1/4" from both halves) and laminate it back together with Baltic birch plywood in the center. Would at least give it a second life. Just a thought.......
