Hello everyone, I'm new here. I emailed Jörg Sprave to say thanks for sharing his videos and slingshot articles so I could make myself a moorhammer slingshot based on his sketch. Jörg directed me to be here to post my 'home-made'. So here I am. I can buy some low-cost slingshots from local market and I do have some, but I like to build one by my hands and after searching on Internet, I found the moorhammer sketch also the finished works Jörg had built. I like the look of moorhammer a lot and this is my first try, to be honest and hope you don't think I'm too cocky, I'm very satisfied after 200 shots with this new toy. The material I used were from other projects I did before. They are two layers black canvas Micarta to be the core, the thickness is about 0.95cm for one layer. The top and down layer are Dymondwood which is laminated rosewood, thickness is about 0.64cm for one layer. After roughed out the shape, I finished the slingshot with #240 sandpaper then polished it with white-compound and cloth-based polish wheel. It's smooth but not slippy. The overall weight for this slingshot (rubber band included) is 121 grams. Here have some pictures I took, hope you enjoy these. Thanks for your reading.
