Howdy everyone,

Joerg certainly has got me interested in slingshots with all of his great videos.

I'm really impressed with the moorhammer design. It really make sense to have the forks so thin and deep. It really uses the strength of the wood in the right plane.

I've looked around on this site and cannot find any specs on this design.

Can anyone tell me if there are plans for the moorhammer any where?

Thanks in advance!

Mike

well i perfer wooden slingshots because wood is easy to work with and it is the only material available to me. by the way i think i did a good job trying to make the dimensions match the real world.

i also saw jörgs outline for the wooden phoenix and since i read he havent made a pdf for the moorhammer i thought i would do it. i migth have gone too far writing that you sould only use multiplex wood, you are free to use any material you like as long as you do not make the frame too weak for the bands.

@Slinger: Multiplex core with other material laminated to it works fine too :D

it is safer to use mutiplex instead of other industrial wood beacuse they might not handle the pressure of the rubber, but metal cores do just fine. i haven't seen the original designs but thougth it the best to recomend a strong type of wood that is easy to find in mostly all places.
