My nine inch nails shooter is a very effective and fun weapon. But it is a little big for indoor fun! So I decided to size it down.

I use three inch nails instead. Used 2mm aircraft grade plywood, had to saw the shape out six times! Incredibly thin wood layers, only 0,5 mm. 24 layers on the whole weapon! And it is only about 13 mm wide (the glue adds a bit to the width). Total length is about 30 cm.

This is a very strong frame! But very lightweight. 6 shots mag capacity!

At this point I have only attached test bands with cheap string, but it works fine. Now I have to make the sled, and also I have to make a nice string.

That looks very nice! I can see that you have made many pistols recently.

Great work! I really like this nail-shooter
But for me the handle/grip would be a little bit to thin.
Maybe you could add some colored plates to the sides? That would look good and give it a better feel

What is the range of this one?

Yes, some scales will certainly look and feel good.

Range with nails is short, maybe three meters. Then the nails start to tumble. But I will make some bolts from aluminum, tipped with steel. These don't tumble because they are front heavy. Then the range could easily be 15 meters, with strong enough bands.

I really like the bigger "Badass" version
But this one looks great and fun to shoot. Must be tricky to make . Great weapon as always master!

I have now added the sled, and also made a nice string. Works really good!

It weighs just under 200 gramms, complete with six bolts and bands... the six bolts weigh 36 gramms alone.

Now I have to make some nice scales and all is done!
Once again Joerg, your creative juices are overflowing! Only two days into the new year, and you have another fine pistol. All I have done so far, is to draw the outlines of four forks on a piece of birch plywood.

Regards,
Brian

Your resourcefulness never stops to amaze us, Joerg. You built a full arsenal over a single concept. Not just cool, but also very helpful for someone who is limited in the terms of local gun restricting laws...
