I decided to try my latest build today on a melon and see how it was. I normally field test my catapults whilst hunting but haven't really had the time to get out recently.

I set up my target backstop with half a honeydew melon at 8.5 meters or 28 feet in my garden. I couldn't go any further as I would be too close to my windows and my wife doesn't like that!

The result of shooting was very good. The Lightweight Ranger proved to be a powerful and accurate slingshot. Next I will try it out hunting and see how it does.

Fine shooting sir! The great thing about shooting melons is that very satisfying sound when they are struck. Thump!!
