I just saw a video where a person used a Slingshot with a magnetic pouch.
For a beginner like me it seemed like a good idea, also perhaps for rough terrain or when on a boat on rough waters or trying to shoot from a windy location, or in a difficult situation like climbing.

What do you guys think?

Interesting idea, I'd like to see a picture of the product

I'm going to look for a small amo pouch rather than walking around with balls of lead in my pocket !

I saw the video on youtube, the name of the Slingshot was the Ninja.
the pouch looked like a regular pouch. By the way, by pouch I mean the area that holds the steel ball and launches it. The leather piece connected to the bands.

I have used one/ have one, it comes with Marksman red tubes from the hardware store.
Its ok for small shot... but for the big balls it doesnt work at all, and I would rather have a hole instead of a magnet.

I am not fond of magnetic pouches. They make the pouch stiff, and add a bit of weight to the pouch ... not much, but I would prefer none at all. They are useless for lead and for stones. But everyone is different ... no doubt some will like such pouches.

Cheers .... Charles

Well, if you like it, then go for it. I think that it is better ( for people who prefer shootin' steel balls) to have some sort of magnetic bag (or magazine, or rod), to make ammo stick together, and prevent making annoying noise.

you can buy those super small but very powerful magnets on ebay. maybe you can use one of those?

i also saw pouches with ready made grooves. saw them in one of the latest gamekeeper-john videos. i think those are also pretty beginnerfriendly.

Holes are good, but also you can get creative with the pouch and do all sorts of stuff

I'll be honest I tried with one of these on a neck lanyard, but I just couldn't get on with it, i've ended up using the magnet as a 'drain fisher' after the lass next door dropped her car keys down a drain in our street...

back on the home made leather pouch now, much better!!

o.0 a triple post by Joe within 1 minute... nice.

Holes are doing it for me, but sometimes like Charles eluded to, the magnetic pouch has its benefits. Its kinda cool to have that hard feeling in the pouch, but like I said, bigger ammo is fail with these pouches, at least the one I have.

A buddy of mine made an ammo holder type thing with one of those Ipod armbands. He keeps his ammo on his armband, pretty cool.

I do most of my target shooting with smaller steel BBs so I wouldn't mind giving something like this a go now, does anyone have contact details for Rayshot?
