Ok I have a commercial sling that I want to upgrade its the first sling I ever owned so I think after 15 years it deserves an upgrade its a Crosman Benjamin Cylindrical .20 Pellets

theres no good way to upgrade that. you can only switch to other tubes, dankung or theratubes.
you could try a wooden handle, taje two pieces, carve a slot for the frame and glue it all together

I think you can re-bend the fork (making it a lot lower), and then give it a nice paracord wrapping. Then you could attach butterfly flat bands.

Don't upgrade. If this is the first, then let it as it is so that you can go back anytime and see your beginnings. Start a new slingshot and keep this one as it is.

I think that same slingshot is now sold thru trumark so you could buy a new one (like 8 dollars in the US) and experiment with that to get a similar effect but i am with tysonspapa and stej on dont keeping your original slingshot i still have my first from when i was 6 years old.

If you must, I would first remove the ammo holder. I would bend the stainless at the handle, if possible, pushing the forks slightly foreward. There is a product called magic sculpt, a 2 part epoxy clay that when combined has about a 2 hour work life. Rebuild the handle in a way that displaces the force into the palm. Use speargun tubing as a lanyard. I think in this way it would be easier to hold while moving the forks anteriorly.
I have to agree with the crowd, just get another. Saunders makes a good device if you replace the bands with Theraband. There's Flippin out, APlus, pocket predator and several other craftsman who make excellent devices using flat bands that are ergonomic. Shop around and get yourself a new device. The benefit from Therabang gold will be obvious compared to tubes and most enthusiasts tend to collect and create once they see what's available. Good luck. Chevas
