So I decided I wanted something a little more pocketable and very curious about picklefork shooters. I happen to have tons of extra floor boards in my garage from my house. I'm a fan of letting the medium guide the design so I decided to utilize the end clip of the board to make guide slots for tubular bands. My Jorg Panther has this feature and I love it, haven't seen it used on a pfs before. I also wanted ergonomic curves so it feels nice in my hand. Finished with just poly. I hope you gonna like it :)

That's a nice little PFS - I wonder if I could pull that off with some leftover Pergo ;) I love the photos using the reflective surface to mirror the curves. Nice choice. Well done.

How thick was that board? 1/2"? 3/4"

That reminds me, I may have a few pieces of T&G cedar planks around somewhere. I guess that's just one more item on the slingshot to-do list.

A very amazing PFS Mixerman! That is an interesting band attachment method on the forks. I've seen that up to now just for attaching pouches!

Neat job and an inventive use of "found materials" (as the sculptors would say). Well done.

I also should say that your photos of your SS are good -- they really show the detail of the SS effectively. It breaks my heart when images of SS's don't really do the piece justice and leave me wishing I could see some better photos of it. I don't know if you're using a high-end camera, the family point+shoot or (say it ain't so!) another cellphone or tablet, but whatever you're using---you use it well and it does a pretty good job.

    thanks everyone!

Thanks everyone for your kind words and support!
I wanted to answer some questions that came up in your comments:
The board is in fact Bellawood 3/4" Maple prefinished hardwood flooring.
All photos are taken by may Samsung Galaxy Nexus cell phone, which has the worst low light camera I've used in a while; however, it seems to do very well with good lighting. No post processing used. The mirrored surface is a black glass coffee table pushed up against the wall. I'm glad people like the mirrored surface, I also feel it helps to show the details of the piece. While I like the clean look of the band attachment method, I've since switched to something more reliable, love shooting this thing! Well thanks again everyone, I've already started the next one, till then I'll be admiring the amazing pieces y'all are posting here, you guys are truly inspiring...
