I finally got round to finishing this one... I like it a lot, shoots great, so I'm not selling! I harvested this fork from a blown down oak in a local graveyard... I need to go back and get some more forks off it before it's chopped up!<br><br><img src="http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/ag106/MrOzzyOsborne/IMAG1565_zps0231f1c8.jpg" border="0" alt=""></A>" border="0" /><img src="http://theslingshotforum.forumotion.com/%3Ca%20href=" border="0" alt=""><img src="http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/ag106/MrOzzyOsborne/IMAG1447-1.jpg" border="0" alt=""></A>" border="0" /><img src="http://theslingshotforum.forumotion.com/%3Ca%20href=" border="0" alt=""><img src="http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/ag106/MrOzzyOsborne/IMAG1429-1.jpg" border="0" alt=""></A>" border="0" /><img src="http://theslingshotforum.forumotion.com/%3Ca%20href=" border="0" alt=""><img src="http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/ag106/MrOzzyOsborne/IMAG1416-1-1_zpsde12e069.jpg" border="0" alt=""></A>" border="0" />

in the first pic it looks exactly like a slingshot a friend of mine made out of a root, but he can't remember from which tree. i don't know which color it had before he coated it. it was very lightweight but really hard.

Hmmm, I need to check out that tree if it's not oak - my mistake! The reason it's so shiny is 6 coats of yacht varnish... :)
