In fact, there are mines laying around in the woods.
Found one a few years ago, the policemen weren't happy at all.

but if the bolt tip would not be flat, perhaps the detonation goes to the sides.

I think a fragmentation head would be the best choice, the power of the explosion would go to all directions.

I am a bit concerned about the fragments - the shooting distance of this little pistol is more like 10, max 15 meters with such heavy bolts. Don't forget that the active acceleration is just about 10 cm.

So a strong plate would be needed, so the fragments fly out in a 180° angle, the shooter isn't hurt.

Made a test arrow today... weight is 42 gramms, 7 times heavier than the little toy arrows I shot so far.

Slower, but a lot more oomph.

    my quick suggestion

yellow points are drilled holes only closed with wax:

edit: instead of using wax make much larger holes and use duct tape to close them.

edit2: pretty sure, destin would know better than me how this could be done.

Very impressive! Just to add on to your design- did you think of engraving '007' on the wood? Might look a little more cinematic then. I'm just saying.

Maybe just paint 007 on it with white paint

awesome work once again...your prototypes look as sophisticated as factory made stuff...

engraving is easier with a dremel... though I do like this creation plain the way it is...

Thanks... I now have a sketch for the next iteration.

Total length is shortened from 30 cm to 19,5 cm. "Fork" width is shortened from 6,5cm to just under 5 cm.

Weight should also be reduced significantly. My goal is to get under 200 gramms.

These changes should not change the performance at all - the draw length and rubber dimensions are the same.

Awesome! I so want to see that one!
How'd you do it? Moved the trigger to the back?

I "bullpupped" it, but I also changed the design of the fork. The rubber tubes now start at the front of the fork, not behind the fork. This saves 18mm total length.
