Some kid invented the gloveshot, but Joerg improved the design.

I know two other commercial models from Joerg: The leadlauncher from Gamekeeper John and some other design he gave to two young men that started a slingshot selling company at an age of 15. Dont know the name tough.

I do not think the glove shot is a very good design, to be honest. It may look cool, but it is very bulky and the fork must be rather wide which is bad for band efficiency and speed. You also cannot shoot it in the target style, which I any many others use exclusively.

The gloveshot has one big advantage: Power. This is the strongest non-wrist braced slingshot I have ever shot. Very interesting in places where wrist braces are banned.

It has many disadvantages, though. Bulky. Wide fork (although that can be changed). Prone to hearty hand slaps.

AFAIK there are several commercially made slingshots made by me. Dankung has the Cougar and the Panther, Gamekeeper John has the Lead Launcher, there are several adaptions of the Six Circles (one especially nice version made by Sheffields catapults), Milbro has the Hand Howitzer and the Moorhammer.

I did make a design for two kids in NY, but they decided to not embrace it. Maybe it was over engineered for them. Too bad.

the paracord is there to stabilize the slingshot, the hand slaps occur at the knuckles.
I think Jonathan Sanden was the first one to come up with the gloveshot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HVk03seKpk
