I wanted to build an everyday- slingshot that fits in my pocket.
Inspired from some photos i saw around here, i made my first drawing.
After cutting and sanding, i coverd it with 2 layers of epoxy glue.
Tomorrow it should be hard/dry :D

So what do you think about it?
    Some recommondations for improovements?

    Thanks!
It´s kind of hardwood, i´m not sure.
Looked like a chess board, made out of squares glued together- but it´s taht small,
you see the seam on the upper end of the right fork-end.
Can´t wate to fix the bands.... want to use small steel balls hopefully it will be a good shooter

  4. Nice and great work!

I hope for you that the Slingshot don't shoot in your Pocket!

Well done! That is beechwood, I have made many slingshots with this kind of wood !
I recommend next time you hang the slingshot with a small loop that tightens and loosens easily and not use a screw that hurts the wood and the finish, the loop only leaves a small line that can be sanded out with a 800 grit for a perfect finish!

Nice work and +1 on the above. use some thin string and tie a loose not to hang it with.

I usually make groves for Band attachment, and thats where i put a String on, if i want to paint it. When the Bands are attached, No One will See where the string was.

    Thanks guys!
i had some sereous problems with shooting it with my 2nd Band set.
Yesterday evening i disassambled it, made a dogbone pouch and adjusted it as good as possible and it seems now and that i could hit targets ^^
I shoot mostly pretty unprecise, saw several vids, seems that i need a lot of practice...

[IMG] Very nicely done, Therider. Your FIRST drawing and everyday carry (EDC)!

Your pocket shooter looks like it will shoot very well for you. Practice is something we ALL need. :p

  14. Why do you need a Pocket shooter?

    All Girls have Handbag's!

So you can take a lot of Slingshot's and ammo with you! :D

Or is your Handbag to small? :D

Then you need a bigger one! :D

Duck me and run away! :D

    Laughing… Honestly, D!

You're gonna get ducked AND run-over you keep this up.

I don't have a 'pocket shooter' -- it's Therider who has the pocket shooter.

I don't have a handbag either, cuz I don't like them. Really! I'm usually outdoors, so I wear cargoes (lots of pockets) and tank tops for urban and leisure. I would go shoeless if I could get away with it.

I carry sometimes a backpack, usually a small paksafe metro for my gadgets and girly stuff. Again, lots of pockets.

For my slingshots, I have a Maxpedition. Flicks just sent me a Jack Wolfskin pouch for Sacred Paws, so I have that now when I'm traveling light.

That's it! No handbag. I like shoes tho. [IMG]

Sorry, we're hijacking your thread, Therider. [IMG] I have to educate the D-man.

Very nice for your first one, Therider. Be patient, the accuracy will come with practice. When I startet shooting a slingshot, I was not able to hit a barn door at 10 meters, now I am - sometimes ;)
@D: very dangerous theme. Never give any advices about hand bags to a girl. Could end in a fury. Though there are some nice and useful ones...
