You got pretty good results with the old bolts too.
You are using 3 cams... Why don' t you point one in your direction so we can see you shooting the weapon? That would be cool.
Anyway, nice vid and great job my friend.
PS: I didn' t forget to like

Very good alterations, love the destruction!

The front heavy bolts will show their superior flight characteristics only at longer distances. The straight aluminum bolts will start to tumble after three meters or so, while the front heavy ones will fly straight.

Don't make them too light, you need some weight for decent inertia and momentum.

I´m going to make another one tonight and tommo row which will be about twice the size and turret mounted I am going to use your tips to design new darts. Also do you think it would help to have some rolers of the tip of the "Bow" which lead the band ends to the front of the weapon so that i can have longer bands?

I have a feeling that your bands are already too long. Keep in mind you need to stretch these bands at least to factor 5 (vs. the relaxed length). Your draw is maybe 40 or 50 cm. With that short bow you use the bands shouldn't be longer than 10 cm relaxed, means that they should be under lots of pretension already.

Rollers would allow you to get rid of the wide bow, making the weapon a lot more compact. But they also chafe the bands, which will shorten the band life.

Did you look at my pencil shooter? That concept works fine.

Ok, so the pencil shooter concept is nice, but i think due to the looks of the weapon, I will mkae myself a similar bow again, just scaled up, i will uploads pictures later.

Very nice so far! Maybe you want to put the board that holds the string further up the handle, for more draw-length?

Well i just measured the draw length and it is 23 centimeters (Old crossbow 15 cm). Do you guys think I should move it back to increase draw length, just as a note I am gonna be using theraband blue on this. Cheers JT

The length of the bolt dictates the max draw on these repeaters. The string has to block the next bolt from falling into the track, so you can't go longer than the bolt length minus about 3 cm.

Thats true joerg but, I am not at the stage where i am designing or making the magazine or the bolts, i can still change this. I think I am going to increase my draw length though. Thanks for the suggestions
