Once again I had too much time, and this is the result

This one is inspired by the well known form by “Geko”. But as you can see in the
Pictures, I grab the other way around.
Seems more comfortable for me, and I got more pressure on the grip with the pinky.

I love the wood, it is Bankirai, it is very tough and hard to work with. Just a short piece of an old
decking my Brother gave me. The funny thing, maybe 6 years ago, I build him
with the same wood a terrace in his Garden and this ist the some of the rest.

I hope you like it, even if it is not my design, I try to give it my style.

    Very nice!

if i was a suport shooter i would pick this design as well.

what i like is that you can press the "tail" with your thumb against your hand, this stabilizes the ss in the hand.

i wonder why you hold it the other way... but if you like it this way it´s ok.
it looks like you made it a litte bit different, maybe this is why you hold it different?

I like it.

Don´t know exactly, maybe it took me about 5 hours without the finish. I cut most of
the parts with a hand saw and a rasp, because when working with the Dremel there was so much fine
dust, even with a dust extraction near the part I was working on. An sanding
was the hell, all in all I wear a dust mask for about 4 hours.

I always wear a dust mask when working with very hard wood, even working with multiplex.

Don´t know why I turn it. When I build a slingshot, there comes the time when almost
finish. Then I close my eyes and rotate the Slingshot in my hand, and the side which is the
most comfortable for me I chose as the one to hold…

But maybe I drank too much this is another explanation

Looks very nice, the finish is also cool.

I like that your Slingshots vary in shape a lot

Nice work LW! And I agree with you about how to hold the slingy, with the curve in the palm. I think holding it in the other way would feel weird...

I like Geko' s design too. I will probably make a slingshot with that one for inspiration someday. That wood is really nice and the shapes you gave it are great. Wonderful work as always and i second Antraxx' s comment.

Definitely it is, and it is at the moment my best and accurate shooter, and I built
a lot slingshots the last time.
Of course it is not (and cannot be) so powerful like Joergs
Hammer, but that is another purpose to use.

Sometimes a simple Form is the most effective for it´s made purpose.
