I've have an old inner tube, but it looks quite dangerous. It would probably snap back and break

Cool. I have some of that stuff too. I've got to find an easy slingshot to make with that stuff.

Does anyone know of a tutorial of how to attach the inner tube to the slingshot?

A bicycle inner tube is not very suitable for a slingshot, I have pulled one and it does not stretch very well, nor does it contract very fast either, or at least for my inner tube.

There are, some are better than others, the old style of tubing was the best, the main types you buy now are not good at all :s If you want to get really good stuff, your best bet price wise is theraband. Simply because of the price of the high end tubes.

I really enjoyed this video. When I was a kid we only had inner tubes to use, I made many natural slingshots using inner tubes. They worked great back then, I only use Thera-band now though! Thanks Joerg!

I just ordered some latex from McMaster-Carr. Had to do that through a friend who lives in the US, as McMaster cancelled my order, they don't ship international.

That rubber is supposed to be very good.

My advise is not to save too much on the rubber. It is the heart and soul of a slingshot, and you don't need a lot. A home made band made from the Thera Band Gold will cost you under 2 dollars. If you are too cheap to do that, you should consider just throwing the ammo
