"probably carbon steel" What do you mean it's "probably"?

Awesome work, did you make it from a blade blank or some scrap steel? Either way, awesome knife!

I believe, and correct me if I am wrong, but he is saying it is "probably carbon steel." As in, the likelihood of it being any other material is slim. Or odds are it is a blade which is carbon steel. Or it is more than likely a blade which is not stainless steel in construction.

if its that sharp, it must be somekind of knife steel. normal construction steel cant be sharpened, it wont hold an edge.

C'mon, Wan, be nice. When a guy gets some metal, it's not always easy to tell exactly what it is. Tone is hard to read in plain text, so if you're joking around, add a smiley or something.

Artons: excellent worksmanship. No tool marks, fine polish, vanishingly keen edge. You have nothing to worry about, except someone else taking such a fine knife. ;)
Where did you get the steel?

First thank you all for your compliments and nice words, you make me very happy :D
I brought the steel from an insertion like "knifemaking steel" but there wasn't the steel type.
I'm sure that this isn't crap steel, i've already made some knives from building steel, but the blade was too much delicate and soft.

Sorry, usually when I here 'probably' I think they're clueless about their steel sorry. I like the knife! It's great looking! And PROBABLY very good at it's job. :)

I didn't slip back to my old ways. How is that offending? I get posts like that directed at me. I was just curious as to why he said probably. (Like if I was given steel and somebody told me it's probably carbon steel when they gave it to me) Etc. Sorry.

It came off as insulting, that's all. Its mainly that you're on thin ice with so many people. Notice that everyone else just complimented artons, no pokes or jabs, just positivity.
