How fast could you shoot a 20mm steel ball?

    I have a feeling Jörg can answer this one <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_biggrin.png" alt="Very Happy" longdesc="1"><br><br>How fast can you <strong><i>practically</i></strong> launch a 20mm steel ball with a bullpup sling-x-bow? Assuming the sling-x-bow is built well.<br><br>PandaMan

    Okay, cool. How much do they weigh? My source says 32.6304g. If so that works out to be 50.86 ft/lbs. I would be very pleased with that.<br><br>Is the 65m/s with your bullpup, with the 6 layers of TBG per side?<br>Thanks for the reply <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_smile.gif" alt="Smile" longdesc="2"><br><br>PandaMan

    Yepp, six layers, on a warm day. Not bad for such a short weapon.

    Interesting, steel has a density of 7.89 g/cm3<br>So weight should be about 33 grams.<br>I have to crunch some numbers.
