    Hey everyone!

    Soooo

Here is the next one! I wanted to make a very nice, special hammer grip slingy. I finished it quite fast because i couldnt leave it alone!! i wanted to see it finished! :D

This one consists of a 5mm aluminium core, the scales are Australian figured Jarrah and the palmswell is maple yew and buffalo horn (as are the fork tips on the front).
I normallyi enjoy making naturals as there is something just about the simplicity that i love about them! but i wanted a nice bit of dark hardwood, and i do also love the metal cored slingshots!! (insperation from people like Nathan Masters and Antraxx :D )
The build went very smoothly considering i did it with nothing but a hacksaw, a rasp and a few different gritts of sandpaper! And for the first time gluing metal to wood it went pretty good! (Ive worked with hide glue making horn bows and the epoxy was a breath of fresh air!!) Finished it with wood oil and beeswax.
Its awesome to hold too, it fits into my hand as if it was a part of it.

oh and i decided to make my "mark" just my three initials in anglo saxon runes as i live in saxony. :)

    Hope you enjoy it!

    Jacob

What a nice one we got here!

Very good Lamination, not too much and not to boring.

If you go on with that, soon antraxx will get serious competition…:D

That's a beautiful hammer JakobKurt! Really, no power tools on that? Nice choice of materials and colors, they really work well together. The laminations look very good, no gaps, nice and even. A very nice slingshot sir.

Thanks everyone for all the great comments!! Im loving this shooter! can't stop using it! :D

    Flicks:
I'm only new to runes and am a little confused as to all the different alphabets haha. My initials are JKD, i couldn't help but notice the k(k's) int the alphabet you posted, is the left "k" the same as the k i used?
im not sure of or if there are any differences between the anglo saxon and the saxonia viking alphabets?

    Withak:
thanks and no i didn't. i have none and i build bows and slingshots on one end of my dinning table in my flat :D
so all the vibrations go through all the walls in the building! hehe sorry neighbors, but has to be done!!

Thanks again everyone else for the comments!!
