Fantastic work! I love metal working and will try to emulate this style some day. Do you know if the steel rod was low or high carbon? In the States they I think ususally refer to low carbon as 'weldable steel' and high carbon as 'drill rod'. I'm not sure about the German speaking world- Thank you for your post.
Chris

Lol, im not sure what to do with it atm , got to think about.
I think its low carbon steal, wasn't hard to bend. I heated it up until a cherry like glow, then it was easy.
Awesome! Mild steel is very forgiving and nice to work with. The ss has nice smooth symetry and curves..If you used fimo you could make an ergo model too. Peace, Chris

    @ Tysonpapa,
I forgot to say that there is a second way to use micarta.
You could wrap the epoxy soaked cloth around the handle.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xuiBha4kT6o

Zwillie: yep, that looks pretty good.
CEZ: yes, I usually use 10 or 12 mm steelballs, its ok for that size.
Red: I actually don't know what to do with it lol, should have made it thicker.
