Hi! I'm really from Virginia (a southern belle, I think they call us), but I'm in Arizona right now. I have Weimaraners -- THE coolest dogs on the planet! I have a Vizsla too. He's a cutie. I train them myself. They are super, super smart and excellent quail dogs.

Interests: I'm into all sorts of stuff: archery, fencing, edged weapons, offroading/jeeping, weightlifting, UL backpacking, any cool multi-tasking or self-defense tools, zombie blasting... I read a lot too. I probably qualify as a 'little' nuts -- for a girl. I just signed up to a blowgun forum. I haven't had much time for that yet. Unfortunately there's only 24 hours, but I make good use of my 24/7. My greatest interest and love is dogs. Absolutely unapologetically CRAZY about them! Training and just being with them. You can be as goofy as you wanna be and they don't care. I tell people I was raised by dogs. It really annoys my mom.

I'm NEW to slingshots too, and stumbling around trying to absorb everything I can about them. They're really fascinating... the materials, newer styles, craftsmanship -- just amazing. I'm also recognizing a few names here. I don't know if that's good or bad yet

I'm here because I'm having serious difficulty sourcing ammo locally. I REALLY do not want to be purchasing all of this stuff through my mail all of the time. I like being as self-reliant as possible.

I had a question on another forum about ammo moulds and instructions. I didn't get a response. Getting ignored makes me more determined to make my own ammo. Maybe they think I can't do it. I like succeeding. I like being free and just me. I think girls aren't suppose to ask too many questions or just be themselves otherwise we get eaten by grumpy grizzly bears

Sooo... I went searching and found this forum. I found Mr Sprave's 2010 upload, a review for the Bells of Hythe 12-shot 16mm lead mould. He's using a really cool lead pot that automatically fills the mould. I almost couldn't believe making lead ammo could be this easy and quick. He made 100 of those in about 30 minutes!!!!!! Yeah, and he ALWAYS looks like he's enjoying himself too. That's so cool! And refreshing.

I searched for the lead pot Mr Sprave was using. It appears he's using a Do-It Melting Lee Pot. Is this the one??? Is it recommended in terms of safety, quality, and durability?

Yes, I think I saw a glowing 'halo' over Mr. Sprave's head. And yes, I'm SAINTING this guy! He's incredible.

Thank you for taking the time to read through this mess! I didn't intend for it to be so yappy. You did ask for an intro. I wanted to be certain to take care of this important duty first

MaddyMax, That would work. It certainly looks less expensive than the automatic job, doesn't it.

Toksik, Yup. I saw that. In fact it's what got me searching for more stuff I'll tell Gaelen you think he's beautiful. MaddyMax, If you can make 100 balls in 4 minutes, then we're talking hero stuff. But you might need a forklift.

Failureisalwaysanoption, I wouldn't mind building one of those catapults (avatar) for my mom. I could help her re-arrange the furniture with it. Wouldn't that be fun!

Thanks everybody! I've been busy. It's spelled t-r-o-u-b-l-e.

I'm trying out some NEW 'marbles' I found in the decorating center. A Ghost recommended them to me.
