Hello. I have just joined the forums.
Recently, I have started whittling and one of the items I would like to carve are slingshots so I enjoy watching Joerg Sprave for inspiration. My only tool is a knife but I have already made a few models that I am pleased with.
I have followed the slingshot channel on YouTube and I have just found out there was a forum so I joined immediately. The slingshots and other ingenious contractions on the channel are extraordinary and I hope that the slingshot channel continues for a long time to come.

Thanks you Joerg,
Sam

Thanks

Thank you all for your welcoming comments. When I can get hold of a camera, I will submit some pictures of my slingshots.

Any tips on the best wood to make slingshots?

I have a friend that has that saying on the doormat at his front door.

As for wood, it depends on what you plan to make. For naturals, stick with hardwoods like fruit woods, nut woods and woods like oak.
