Hello all members of the slingshot channel forum! I finally stumbled across this forum on the web after being a slingshot lover and huge fan of Joerg's channel for quite a while. I live in Florida, USA half of the time and Indiana is where you can find me while university is in session. I'm on the medical track to be a Forensic Pathologist. My family is originally from Budapest, Hungary and I love to visit whenever I can. But enough about me! Slingshots!
I shot one of the cheap-o 10 buck tru-mark slingshots since I was around 10; and now about 9 (just turned 19) years later I have started to make my own. I shoot at 3/4 albatross most of the time and I prefer a side shooting over hammer style. I'm a bit of a purveyor of fine slingshots amongst my friends; and have made about 20 (even with the most uncooperative woods). I have made 4 distinct "lines": the albatross series (naturally stained woods, bound and gripped with sinew and leather); the lady (stick shooters, my girlfriends idea actually; made to be ergonomic and small enough to fit into a purse or pocket); the gentleman (tall, dark and strong woods, really formed and glossy); and lastly the fullmetal series. (Beautiful but a real pain to make, haha! They are made of aluminum or steel rod, with a dankung style band set up. With the exception of bands and pouch; they are COMPLETELY constructed of shiny, chromed metal and metal chordage.)
I love the setup I've been using for the last 2 years (gypsy tabs and chained rubber bands) and would love to sell and custom make a slingshot for anyone who asks! A college kid has to make money; right?
Thanks for reading this whole thing!
Matt
