Hello Everyone!<br>My name is Ray, and I'm in the US State of Colorado, high in the Rocky Mts.<br> I have been interested in slingshots ever since I was told about David and Goliath. Then at the Age of 7, my Father made me a "Sling" like Davids. Today I am 70 years of age...I may be older but I promised myself that I would never grow up! So far my wife of almost 50 years says I haven't! HAHAHAHA! <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_lol.gif" alt="Laughing" longdesc="7"><br>My sling was all leather with a length of 36" (91.44CM). The pocket was a large piece cut from the tongue of an old pair of his boots. The "Lines" were hand cut lengths of quality leather hardly found today, and then braided. I STILL have it today! I have given it to my Grandson as a keepsake and it is nice and supple and every bit as strong as the day it was made.<br>My Father was a Master with it, and could knock a Dove out of the sky 9 out of 10 times...I COULD NOT! <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_evil.gif" alt="Evil or Very Mad" longdesc="12"> All we had to shoot with were nice rounded pebbles that He would often walk in old river beds and pick up all day. I never really did learn to use it to any REAL accuracy...I could get close enough to make somebody or something really MAD...but that was about it.<br>I am so happy I found this site and I want to extend my many thanks to Joerg for creating this delightful website. I hope to be involved as best I can. I am currently in the design stage of a "Hand Bow" based on Joerg's "Gloveshot" slingshot made for folks with weak or damaged wrists, it's been great fun. <br>While I don't have the ability to load a video, I will upload pics as soon as I am finished. Then maybe later I can pickup a video camera, or maybe my Daughter still has hers and I can demo it for you. <br>I ALSO have a suicidal cat with only 6 lives left...so He may get involved too..<img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_tongue.png" alt="tongue" longdesc="24">!<br>Thanks, Ray

Hey..

It's me...RayRay...will now be know as "Ray" I guess...had to re-register with new forum...RayRay is still in use but it wouldn't let me in or recognize my password...it's OK...I'm here that's all that matters.

have been working on a new gloveshot...almost finished...I really like the feel of it...VERY comfortable. Hope to post some pics soon.
