Hello to all. I'm Bert. I live in Victoria, BC, Canada. I happened upon Joerg's video's on Youtube and theysparked my interest. I was taken by the sculptural look of the slingshots and the good, not so clean fun of smashing things. Joerg, your inadvertent trademark, turn to look at the camera and grin, just kills me. It's a grin of pure satisfaction!!. I've just finished my first slingshot out of 1" baltic birch plywood (multiplex as you call it) and it turned out ok, but I need more practice. I'm a welded metal sculpture and am fortunate to have a big shop to work with metal and wood and I'll try making more slingshot's between jobs. One in metal maybe be next. I'll take some pic's.
Anyhow. Thanks for stirring up some memories from childhood and for having this cool forum to see the neat stuff people are making. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions to come!!!
Cheer,
Bert
Wing Nut Designs

PS: Joerg. I'll have to stop by and bring beer next time I'm in Frankfurt. My wife is from Bad Homburg. She's there this summer to see the Documenta, but I'm not able to go this time.
