    Hi all,

growing up in Queens NYC in the 60's was interesting. One thing we made was a stick with a cloths pin and rubber bands (no sling). We shot pieces of Linoleum, it was called a carpet gun. Now with a face shield and gloves it would be ok , but no glasses could lead to putting an eye out. My brother put a sling in one and he could shoot peas and rocks. These were banned by official police presence in our area (my dad was for a number of years, a NYC cop, then became a NYC fireman).

It is nice to see my boyhood toys taken to such insane heights. I do not know if after viewing the prints for Joerg's excellent insane devices I am that I will build one, but darn are they cool.

And Joerg, the rubber band cannon is both insane and wunderbar , I must say I would love one, (but shooting it off in NYC or the general area would cause,uuuuummmm.....issues)

    ciao
