    i want to make a sling shot but id like to get some tips

    A suggestion- Hay is not a good material for a slingshot. It's too flimsy. Even when woven into a wicker it's still not stiff and resilient enough. But if you saturate it with an epoxy resin, you might be able to pull it off.

    Start with a good stout fork, somewhat balanced is best. (not 3" on one side and 1/2" on the other)

    Locate some good rubber, walmart works, I've been using Golds Gym green flat bands I found there with good luck.
    Or you can go online to a place like http://www.quill.com

    Go there, do a search for Thera band, choose if you want bands or tubes, then choose how heavy you want to go. (Note, IMO tubes are easier for getting started, and tend to last longer)

    I'd start with small quantity's until you know what you like. Quill has good prices, free shipping.

    Start from there, post pictures, build a catch box to shoot at, and welcome to the addiction!
