    Hi folks,

I would like to show you my new baby.
The idea was to make a rifle that is accurate, powerful and would fit into my backpack. This defined a maximum length of 75 cm.
    So this is it :

It consists of 4 pieces that fit snugly together.

The force of the rubbers makes that there is absolutely no play. I'm really
    satisfied about the result.

It has slots for easy exchange of bands or tubes.

The ball stays in place with a small strong magnet. This facilitates the loading.

It also has a little dent so that the ball always is put in the same position. This improves accuracy.

Here it is fully assembled. Assembly is really simple and quick to do. It has a draw length of 160 cm.

And here is what it can do with strong rubbers and 16mm steel balls. This is 2 cm thick particle board.

I hope you guys like it.

    Cheers,

    Adrian.

Wow… great setup, I like the idea of a slingshot rifle, which is able to be taken apart. And even an impressive penetration on the board.

Hiding behind this board, would not be a good idea…:D

Looks really nice, great work! Looks like a looong thing once you puts it together. And it seems that makes it very powerful... :D

Nobody has mentioned it, but that stock is really quite elegant. Also, your attachment method for flat bands is different . Kudos my friend.

Super job on the take-down! Nice, clean lines.

I agree with LW. I wouldn't want to be behind the board when that is firing 16mm of steel! [IMG]

I don't know yet the effect on plywood. Certainly less penetration. Plywood is much more flexible and stronger. Neither do I know the accuracy range. Did not test it yet but will do so in the weekend.

    Thanks for the compliments,

    Adrian.
