    very nice!! i was wondering the same, is it pinned in with the middle "pillar" like a stick tang knife?

    Yes, the middle "stick" remains and is glued in. This shoots without glue, though - the glue is only so nothing shifts.

    Trying to find dogwood in Brazil.....discovered that it includes more than 30 species of trees... Cornus trees. Can't find an easy brazilian source!

    Oh boy! I had no idea European Dogwood looked like that. The creamy and pinkish tone of the grain almost reminds me of Lilac Wood (but I don't know what the hardness scale is). Lilac is suppose to be as well very dense and hard.

    If I had a firstborn, I think I would actually trade for a block of that!

    When I sort out my recent finds from the desert, maybe... LOVELY work on the Panther custom too!

    Turns out great everytime you work with it...i really should try to search one of those bushes too :)
