<span class="postbody"><br><br>Hi Joerg,<br>First of all let me tell you that I've seen many of your posts and I like the way you present things. I am amazed by the constant presence of new ideas you have. I am very impressed by some publications and videos and many things I have learned from you and still learning. I think now is the time to say thank you because I have this chance. I am very glad that you pay attention to my post. <br>I think the Hummerhead is the best design. I have tried all other options such as height, width and shape of the fork and handle; different lengths, bands, ball sizes, etc.<br>Both my hammerhead I hold grip style and indeed it&rsquo;s missing a groove for the pinkie, but this was done with purpose to get a short handle and easily way to put in the pocket - to be more compact. Here is the other sling of mine same style and I just sold it: <br><strong>Turkish Walnut with boxwood inlay</strong><br>50 years old material without any defects, cracks, crevices. And here is my next slingshot I have just finshed. It was made of 2 planes at 16 mm multiplex and 21mm getinax. In front and on the back side material is walnut and beech. Lightweight, ergonomic and handle is shaped so that it allows grip most tightly to the fork. Not tired arm after prolonged use.<br>Slope of the fork is selected so there will be no unnecessary friction on the bands to maximize its entire length. Done so because with a flat surface as with standard fork where there is no such slope is obtained high friction and energy loss, respectively. Especially if you use tappered bands. This leads to overloading of the rubber, which shortens the life of the bands. In this case, we have achieved higher efficiency because of the angle of the slope. Depending on the width (19 mm) and length (30 mm) of the slope, which define the friction surface as shown in Figure 1, in this case about 30 mm from the band does not work effectively. This is why the friction with the surface of the fork, which in turn leads to overloading of the bands - leads to a loss of energy, and shortens the life of the bands.<br>Hand painted with shellac on 20 layers.<br>Dimensions on the picture.<br>It cost $45<br><br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/8662939249/" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8262/8662939249_b7bd3c836d.jpg" border="0" alt=""></a><br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/8662939249/" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">DSCN0846</a> by <a href="http://www.flickr.com/people/[email protected]/" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Rambo_X</a>, on Flickr<br><br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/8662942921/" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8246/8662942921_c3dcdb6689.jpg" border="0" alt=""></a><br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/8662942921/" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">DSCN0844</a> by <a href="http://www.flickr.com/people/[email protected]/" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Rambo_X</a>, on Flickr<br><br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/8664041338/" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8241/8664041338_237a8f8983.jpg" border="0" alt=""></a><br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/8664041338/" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">DSCN0859</a> by <a href="http://www.flickr.com/people/[email protected]/" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Rambo_X</a>, on Flickr<br><br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/8662946241/" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8244/8662946241_dfd322d863.jpg" border="0" alt=""></a><br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/8662946241/" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">DSCN0856</a> by <a href="http://www.flickr.com/people/[email protected]/" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Rambo_X</a>, on Flickr<br><br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/8664048340/" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8252/8664048340_abd71faa2a.jpg" border="0" alt=""></a><br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/8664048340/" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">DSCN0851</a> by <a href="http://www.flickr.com/people/[email protected]/" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Rambo_X</a>, on Flickr<br><br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/8662940501/" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8262/8662940501_fcd12eee6f.jpg" border="0" alt=""></a><br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/8662940501/" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">multiplex blue</a> by <a href="http://www.flickr.com/people/[email protected]/" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Rambo_X</a>, on Flickr
