    Hi Guys

I´ve started building my first slingshot since my childhood 25 years ago. On the picture you can see the beautiful piece of cherry laurel. I cutted it off yesterday and after 7 rounds in the microwave and the last night on the heater I think its dry enough to start the rasping work.

Now the only thing I´m not sure about is how to form the handle. I was thinking about forming the Rambone handle.
What do you think about that?
Are Pinchgrip and thumb and finger support still comfortable with this kind of handle on a "Y- sling"?
Is the Rambone handle a good choice for a Y-sling at all?

    Thanks and Greets

I don't think that the Rambone handle can be whittled from this fork, it isn't thick enough. Just carve it into a nice support grip shooter.

I can’t tell if that tape measure is in cm or inches. If it’s inches, that fork is around 3’ long and absolutely massive.

I don't recall, this is a fairly old video of mine.

Flatten the front and back of the handle and laminate on what you will and carve from there.
