Quite a nice slingshot you've made yourself there, eh.

Not such a nice thumb though. Ouch!

I was also recently told by someone (?) that guava was excellent for making slingshots. Very strong.

Nice job. I wouldn't mind seeing what a 'raw' guava fork looks like - before it has been stripped of bark.

Btw, I hope your thumb ouchie is feeling better.

Thanks! ther is a lot os "redneck" guava trees in the state of São Paulo, where I live. Soon I'll geta very thick one so I cam build a Moorhammer from the very inside of the wood.

    Skol!

Thanks! It will be a pleasure to get another guava fork and show you the photos. Maybe a video too. (Just found this new gigantic guava tree near my house).

Thanks for the pic, BV. That is a very lovely fork.

I think I can see why you are calling it 'skin' instead of bark. It looks very smooth, and the golden sheen is pretty. Not the typical scaly stuff that I expected.

Thank you for taking some time to show us this.

Actually I called it "skin" because of my lack of vocabulary on tecchnical terms of woodworking..... But it really looks like some leather skin.

Cool. In that case, it was an accurate 'mistake' I think. We'll just say the guava has golden skin.
