fitted with four a side Theraband Black at the moment. Quite powerful but I think it needs a little more to be sufficiently evil :)

    beware!

    Is this evil device zombie-repelling?

Or does it even attract them, for its obviously not made of zombie-bones???

    Scares me!

Where do you get the amazing metal pieces you incorporate into these wonderful weapons?

Do you have a secret underground foundry full of slaving minions?

The carving is what really ties it all together and makes it in a genre all its own.
    I love it.

    Hi Ruthie,

It's great! Like the proportions and style. This one has a personality. Maybe baaaad personality but has it for sure :D.

For me it's more like a pirate slingbow than a gothic one but just playing with words. With this stuff it's really easy to bond with. I just imagine how it feels to hold it and shoot with it as transforms the user itself with this crazy appearance.

    Thumbsup it's well done!

Alas no to the underground foundry...I'd love to have the facilities for some serious metalwork . And The Boss made me give up my slaves when he married me :(

So the metal bits tend to come under the category of 'objets trouvee'. The skull was no problem. The Boss is a Goth so our home is skull central. I just had to cut it to slide onto the end of the bow. The fork arms and the arrow rest cup both came from a solid brass candelabrum that I picked up at a fleamarket and the arm brace was the holder for a Russian tea glass.

I wasn't sure how strong the cast brass forks would be...whether they might bend at all. But they seem perfectly solid with the TBB so I'm going to replace them with 6 a side 20/40s which should be quite lively.

CORRECTION ! Yes, it was gorgeous to shoot....for a while ! But by then the strands had tangled themselves up like knitting wool after a cat-attack and it simply proved to be impractical :(

So I replaced them with triple bands of .03 natural latex and the performance is great, even with the very heavy arrows.
