This comes from my home state of Oregon. I don't know if I should be proud or ashamed. Most know that in addition to slingshots, I do also love firearms and peruse a local firearms forum from time to time.

This is a clip someone posted about a newborn from Tillamook. I've been to Tillamook many times, so I can't really say this surprises me, but the general discussion on the board for this post was whether his name would get him banned from schools in the future. Funny stuff. Or sad. You decide.

I'll be waiting for someone from here to name their child "multiplex", "6 Circles", or my personal favorite "Rambone". Dang, can you imagine a boy with the name "Rambone" He would either be the coolest kid in school or the most beat-up.

Colt is OK, not sure on the middle name........;)

Interestingly, my friends little boy is called Hunter (Like little Colt .45s brother). It seems quite common in the US but still pretty rare in the UK.

So, who will be the first to call their kid Rambone Theraband?

Okay, now that's starting to sound just a bit like a porn name... I can see it now:

"Fork Me" starring Rambone Theraband, also featuring newcomers Tweak N. Release and Harry "Little Pickle" Forkshooter

Sorry if that's a little crude, couldn't help myself.

Reminds me of those sharty Colt .45 commercials from the 80's starring Billy D. Williams(lando from starwars). "He may be a movie star but he still drinks nasty assed hoodrat beer"- what a great way to sell your product.

A boy named sue, is a good inspiration when naming your son. "I knew you had to get tough or die" and "It's that name that helped to make you strong".
Colt 45 sounds a little over the top, i think "Lisa, Cynthia or Martha" would have been much more suitable and modest for the purpose.

I think you're missing the point. We're talking about american rednecks here. As an american hillbilly, I can tell you these people named the kid Colt .45 because it sounded cool, not to toughen him up. If a redneck wanted his kid to be beaten into toughness, he'd simply name him barack obama.

If they listen to johnny cash, they might have been inspired though... Just saying. Also that's why i mentioned the colt 45 is a little over the top for that purpose. Btw. I love southern american people

I think i should name my next kid Magnum .357... I could always say it's my favourite snack and it's estimated calories consumed before i go sick, when people think it's about a gun

    Edit.
Also Magnum .44, if one don't like lard on a stick

My name is Colt. That would be cool to have a middle name .45
