As you guys can see from the picture my slingbow use a rail to guide the arrow powered by the rubber band in tension..<br>the part where the band catches the arrow is just tape wrapped to reduce friction. the arrows flies straight sometimes and sometimes randomly..ive though of adding a whisker biscuit but the part where the trigger holds the arrow don't catch on the standard bolt diameter, therefore I have to tape the ends to make it thicker..<br>.this is why a whisker busicuit wouldn't work well as it would catch on the duct tape..any tips to stabilize the arrow for flight and hits target everytime..current accuracy is 10 inch circle at 4meters lol<br><a href="http://www.servimg.com/image_preview.php?i=7&u=18259016" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://i80.servimg.com/u/f80/18/25/90/16/pictur16.jpg" border="0" alt=""></a><br><br><a href="http://www.servimg.com/image_preview.php?i=8&u=18259016" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://i80.servimg.com/u/f80/18/25/90/16/pictur17.jpg" border="0" alt=""></a><br><a href="http://www.servimg.com/image_preview.php?i=9&u=18259016" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://i80.servimg.com/u/f80/18/25/90/16/pictur18.jpg" border="0" alt=""></a><br><a href="http://www.servimg.com/image_preview.php?i=12&u=18259016" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://i80.servimg.com/u/f80/18/25/90/16/pictur21.jpg" border="0" alt=""></a><br><a href="http://www.servimg.com/image_preview.php?i=13&u=18259016" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://i80.servimg.com/u/f80/18/25/90/16/pictur22.jpg" border="0" alt=""></a>

Maybe you want something to hold down the arrow in the rail (an ammo clasp)? Are the Arrows significantly front-Heavy and/or properly fletched? Maybe a video with some more details would help clear things up?

I do not want to "take away" your project by saying that I think it is a dead end. But I think it is. <br>I have also tried to design something similar and you have to come to conclusion that the weapon you are trying to build has to be very long for the rubber to create enough force. <br><br>I think the best way to shoot something pointy is to have a long arrow, preferrably your draw to anchor + a little extra, have a standard slingshot with bands matched for arrow weight.<br><br>I am using this setup and shooting home made wooden dowel arrows and shorter carbon arrows with duct tape fletchings to over 120 meters (45 degrees ballistic).<br><br>Short range precission and penetration is allright, hitting 30cm by 50cm target from 10meters every time, when I had a big backstop board I was hitting the same target from 20 meters 85% of the time.

For more power bigger bands, try to get front heavy bolts, and I don't see the purpose of the flexible bow, because you are using rubber to fire shots. What is the draw weight on that? Looks good though.
