I have been bitten by the slingshot bug!! I am very new to this community and had been looking around at some slingshots. I seen many different styles but really was unsure about what would be the best fit for me. Since I hadnt had a slingshot since I was a young buck I had plenty of questions. I joined another forum and really wasnt impressed with the folks. Some were very nice, others not so.

Anyway I wasnt getting the info I wanted so I thought I would make a slingshot on my own and go from there.

    Here is my first attempt.

What material did you use for the scales over the multiplex? Should be a good, solid shooter for you, excellent work.

Thanks guys! I like how small it is in my hand and conture I just kept going till it felt comfy. Course I really don't know what comfy is since I haven't shot it but it was fun anyway.

I set up another today using the same wood that has been sitting around the shop. Added a few extras so we will see how this next one comes out. I also ordered some rubber sets today and some ammo hoping its all I need to start plinking.

Studer that is some redwood I put on the outside.

Thanks again for the kind words and the welcome.

Good balance on the shape. A "Dayhiker Chalice" is a very user friendly design. I have it in my files, but have not made one yet as I wish to boardcut from a natural fork.
    Nicely done!
