I was on a caravanning holiday last with with some of my family and was stuck in alone for a while- after having a rummage around the caravan I managed to find a wire coat hanger (steel rod 1mm dia) so i set about with my leatherman, and a bit of paracord and some spare bits I had at the bottom of my bag and came up with this tiny little plinker

it's not a very strong slingshot, though I've double bent all the wirework over itself so that everything is 2 strands of 1mm steel wire, cord wrapped for re enforcement.

it shoots a good 50m, and I've been able to break a couple of beer bottles at about 10m with it- not bad for something that was made from a bit of junk

not the most technical diagram ever but a little MS Paint never hurt anyone .... this is the basic wirework frame if anyone fancies giving one a go...

it's just single band dankung tubular rubber , 1745 I think...

the cord wrapping was mainly to bind things together a bit more tightly, and to give some extra padding to the grip, as you can see it's too small for a true hammer grip,

the forks come up a bit high and even though you cant feel them bend it just doest feel right, but with the thumb and forefinger grip it's ace-

it will never be a powerful slingshot, just a small target shooter but it's a lot of fun and very easy to make - all done in about 10 mins

I like the paracord work, it looks pretty cool. You need to put thicker wires for that slingshot.
