After a few days of shooting at the same blasted can with marbles , I finally had my first cut. :D

Sorry for the horrible quality of the picture, I blame my camera phone.

Good job. I have yet to attempt a can cut. I'm still shooting at tin cans, which aren't going to cut like a pop can. I need to try this soon!

I did a can cut the other day but used 12.7mm steel. Only takes about 6 hits with that stuff (notice I didn't say 6 "shots").

I suspect ammo choice makes a big difference on can cuts.

Now those 1" iron cubes I saw Joerg shooting, those would cut a can up quick.

Ammo size does make a difference. I'm sure band type matters as well. I was shooting 1/2 inch glass marbles and 3/8 inch steel balls, neither of which has much weight behind them. I was using a store purchased Trumark slingshot and their black heavy pull bands.

I am sure I would have had different results in time it took to cut the can if I we're using a different band set and ammo. Probably would help if I we're a better shot as well.

Welcome to the Can Cutters Club mate!!!
Smaller is the ammo( steel/ lead) better will be the penetration. You will have to aim at specific spots to have a nice cut.
Bigger ammo will shred the soda/ beer can.
    Happy can killing!!

I was using my slingbow the other day with the arrow rest down and decided to try shooting at a fresh target. I was using 3/8 steel ammo with 30# draw tubes. I was able to get my second can cut of my slingshot career.

Regretfully, the tube started to tear on one side and I am having a hell of a time getting the old bands off. If anyone has any experience changing tubes on an HFX slingbow, I could use the help.

I loved seeing the top of the can fly off when I hit that last shot.

    0.33mm Aluminum

This is the one that i breeded my tennis elbow with..

.33mm aluminum, being teased with mainly 7mm steel, sometimes 10mm.

Sometimes i can hear it crying for help, but the painbow is making me deaf.

I see Be, now I've got the equation, thick aluminium (spray?) can + double TBG + butterfly + light ammo + long rounds = tennis elbow  !! ... anyway I liked, seems I am a sadist LOL ! ...

Very nice, I like seeing other pictures of cut cans. Luckily I kept my second can. I want to see how much more I can destroy it.
