My first efforts are not being rewarded yet lol. So I HAVE to glue together stuff eh, I figured I could just cut a nice piece of lumber up, and there you have it, slingshot.... but it's not working out now lol, seems muchhhh to weak :S
what makes you think its weak? whats wrong?
so is it thin oak ply's glued together? it looked like a plywood.. I got some plywood samples recently that look exactly like this and it was not too weak at all.
its oak on top, i see that. but the rest is something else. right?

well yeah , its weak.. the forks are waaay too thin. were you cutting freehand? what is it made of? did you think about how the bands will attach?
i hate to say it, but you are going to have to scrap it.

next time try making the forks wider. like at least 3/4 of an inch thick. it looks like you are trying to pull of 1 or two cm width forks. also try drawing a design first on the wood before you cut. I fold paper in half and cut out my designs so that they are symmetrical . hope that helps/.
Ah... thx. . there is actually a pattern on there, I need to even the other fork to the small one still. But the movement of the small fork is too much, so like you said, it probably needs to be burnt

I'm making a "Lead Launcher" , one of Joerg's desings, and it will come out ok I think.... we shall see
I'll post my modified " lead launcher". I used the frame plans but created palmswell with a wooden spoon handle.
