first attempt at a fork

    Hi,<br>i made this yesterday, it´s my first ss from a natural beech fork.     Looks nice Tobias. That looks like a good hard wood, you seasoned it well.

    Nice - I like!<br><br>Careful with beech dust - not good for the lungs...

    <span class="postbody"><br><br>realy? i don´t hear that bevor. I made a better finish, there was much dust... but this wood is nice gives a good finish.</span>

    y, beechdust is known to cause even cancer. you should wear a mask...those single use ones also used for painting.<br><br>here you can find basic information about most of the woods we use:<br><a href="http://www.holzwurm-page.de/holzarten/holzart/buche.htm" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.holzwurm-page.de/holzarten/holzart/buche.htm</a><br><br>the fork is cool<br>But if it´s really your first...well gratz.<br><br>Since you are such an expert i expected the fork a little lower.<br><br>atm i wish i could work with beech...working with amaranth and i never expected it THAT dense and solid...since i´m not just using it as a scale or dekoration but for the entire slingshot...i have to carve a lot^^

    An excellent slingshot.<br>Looks very convenient and smooth. I like it.<br>I would recommend you to wear a mask. Health goes first.<br>I like it, that you also show the excess and not only the slingshot.<br>Also it's nice, that you show the slingshot in different angles.<br>Keep on!
