    Looks like a nice sturdy shooter. Do you know what kind of wood that is?

    I don't know what wood it is, I went on a long bike ride through my local trails next to a large creek. I carry a small saw with me just in case I find a nice fork and i cut it as quick as possible because it was getting dark. I had some of the bark but lost it.

    The bark was actually quite smooth

    Looks like beech or rododendron

    I looked at some photos on google and the barked looked similar to beech. Thank you.
